I bought this handmade necklace at my thrift store but now I've been second thoughts.
It's made out of buttons and metal thread and even tough I like the overall look, I'm wondering if it doesn't look a bit cheap... The buttons at the bottom also have a tendency to hang down and there are some threads sticking out ... but I think I'll be able to fix that.
What do you think? Should I keep it? Or just recycle the buttons for something else?

I like the necklace. But I like most things green. I'm sure that the thread hanging is fixable.
I think you should keep it.
A keeper, love the color, love the shapes!
It's such a wonderful green. Why not fix it up, see if you wear it and if not, perhaps use them to replace the buttons on a favourite cardigan...
how about keep it AND recycle it. Take off the ones that hang down and make it look more put together.
fix it up, wear it once to a party and then reuse the buttons for a knitted cardi. that's what i'd do i think... :)
I would just give it a little love and keep it. The green is awesome.
I would recyle the buttons. You have a lovely blog!
I think if you can spurce it up a bit like you mentioned, it will be lovely. The cheapness is just because it looks a little worn right now. All tightened and with the threads hidden it will be a gem.
Thanks for all your advise! I'm going to give the necklace a chance, I guess the best way to find out if it's a keeper is to actually wear it for a day...
