Up we go

Our summer holiday is booked and confirmed. Maybe it's not a surprise that this year, instead of heading south, we'll go up north. I've seem to be bookmarking a lot of Scandinavian interiors lately and consequence or not we will be going to Copenhagen, a capital known for it's great design and interior shops (I don't think the boyfriend thought this one through).

So just another 50 days or so and I'm off! If you have ever been to Copenhagen and know some must see places (shops, restaurants, museums or otherwise) than please let me know!

Morning glory

I have to admit, I used to be one of those people who regularly skipped breakfast. But ever since I decided to do some more sport and go to the station by bike, I'm forced to have some nutrients in the morning, unless I want to faint on a daily base.

I still take to little time to eat – my bed is just so cosy – so in the end I just gulp down some cornflakes and orange juice. I also think it's to much hassle to start making eggs or even toast in the morning. Lazy? I plead guilty.

So do you take the time to relax and enjoy your breakfast? Any tasty – preferably quick – breakfast recipes?

The wardrobe dream

I really feel like going shopping for a new spring wardrobe, unfortunately due to budget restraints a shopping spree really isn't an option right now. I guess I'll just have to limit myself with looking at other people's pretty clothes. Ah, how I wish for a sugar daddy sometimes...

For someone special

Happy Mother's day to all the moms out there. Here are some lovely flowers for all of you... and of course also for my mom (don't worry, you'll get some real ones too).

Upstairs

Attic rooms, there's something very cozy and comforting about them. Especially if it's raining and you here the little taps on the roof. Ah, how I wish I could step into the next photographs...

Pop the cupboard

If you're not ready for big bold colour statements in your interior (see the previous post) then painting inside cupboards can be a solution. It is a fun way to have some bright colour pop out and you can easily hide it again...

The pink pantry

At weekends I'm often found me in the kitchen trying out new cooking recipes or baking cakes. When you're used to the rental market there seems to be only one colour available for kitchens: white. And let's admit it home owners often opt for it too.

It's not that weird to stick to safe colours when it comes to the kitchen, because, let's be honest, you'll have to live with it for the next 15 years or so. But there are still people who don't play it safe, who are even wild enough to go with for instance a pink kitchen. And I have to admit that a pale pink takes away all instant connotations with Barbie.

So would you be brave enough to go pink? Or even better: would your boyfriend/husband be?
