Copenhagen was my first travel experience into Scandinavia, and it must be said, the average rate of beautiful people was much higher than in my beloved home country. Not always so good for one's self confidence.
But people don't only look prettier, they also look a lot stylisher. And it's not only women, Danish men are also more aware of their look (no complains there).
So here are a few street style trends I saw:
• Clothes: Nautical
The Sartorialist

• Hairstyle: buns
The Beauty files
Eperience Parisienne
Erin ever after
• Shoes: Gladiator sandals

I have to admit, I'm going to give the messy bun a try. And I wouldn't mind a striped t-shirt or two. I am however going to pass on the sandals. Sorry, just not my thing...

Copenhagen impressions: bikes
Finally as promised I'll tell you about my trip to Copenhagen. And let me just say that I fell in love with the city. I loved the atmosphere, the people, the mentality... this is really a city I could see myself living in. So that's why I decided to do not just one post but a little series.
(Unfortunately my boyfriend's Leica broke down on day one, so off course my camera was confiscated. So unless you want to see 200 photographs of me standing in front of almost every building in Copenhagen, I'll illustrate my impressions on the hand of other people's photographs.)
Impression n°1: Copenhagen is by far the most bike friendly capital I've seen so far. Bikes are the main way of transport and everywhere you have bike lanes. So refreshing!
Cycle chic
And you have to have a cool bike to ride trough all the hip streets. Here is a list of my favourite bikes.
• Craighton Pure by Achielle
• Tube rider by Pashley
• Cargo cruiser Dakota by Johnny Loco

Suitcase confessions
I promise I will tell you about my trip to Copenhagen soon.
But first I have to unpack. My suitcase is staring at me reproachfully from the corner of the room...

Apartment Therapy
I just wanted to say a quick thank you to Apartment Therapy for featuring my blog.
After returning from a short holiday to Copenhagen (more about that in a few days time), this lovely post was a nice start to a new working day. Much more uplifting than my daily dose of caffeine ;)
You can find the post over here.
And keep your eyes open, because in the near future they will be doing a house tour of my old apartment. Yippee!

Trailer treasures
When it comes to holidays, I have to admit that I'm not the adventurous type. I'm just not the kind of girl who goes backpacking through foreign jungles (I'm the kind of girl who overpacks for city trips).
But even tough the thought of camping sends shivers down my spine, I must say I have a little crush on trailers. Especially if they are as cute as these ones.

Up we go
I've been running up and down stairs all day long. Let me tell you, my condition is all but perfect. And unfortunately our office stairs are also all but perfect. Some serious dark carpet issues going on...
Now the following stairs are much more inspiring.

The nanny diaries
I am currently reading "The importance of being Kennedy" from Laurie Graham. It's very interesting since I didn't know that much about the Kennedy family, apart from the obvious – JFK was president and was shot, Bobby run for president and was shot.
The book is told from the perspective of the fictional nanny of the Kennedy children. So with that in mind, I thought I post some nurseries today.
And no, I'm not pregnant...

Underwater love
It has been another, almost too, warm week. I must say, working in a building without air conditioning has been a bit of a nightmare.
Thank God it's the weekend so I can concentrate on more fun things than trying not to stick too much to my desk (whoever invented glass desks should be shot by the way). Things like drinking cocktails, bicycling around the countryside or finding new friends who own pools like these.
(If you do, please apply for my friendship by mail and include lots of photographs of the pool in the attachment...)

Treasure closets
Sales started over here and I'm planning to go a bit wild during the next month. Well, in an organized way that is, I've been saving up and have made a list of all essential items that are still missing in my wardrobe. But I'm sure that there will be a few dresses and shoes to gorgeous to resist, list or no list.
It's days like these that I dream of a walk-in-closet...
