Design Hotel: Juvet

If you want to become one with nature, you have to stay at the Juvet hotel in Norway.

The hotel is quite literally hanging from the edge of a cliff and therefore offers the most astonishing views. Thanks to the big windows, it almost feels like you're camping outside. Without irritating insects crawling into your sleeping bag...

Unidentified Architectural Object

Don't worry, the martians haven't landed yet... Although the Domespace can be easily mistaken for a crashed UFO, it's actually a wooden house of French design. And not only does it look gorgeous, it's also very ecological and energy efficient, the houses actually are able to turn 360° so they can follow the movement from the sun! How amazing is that!

Life at the beach

Once upon a time I want to have enough money to buy a nice little cottage by the sea. And then I want it to look like this.

Nathalie Krag

This little hide-a-way is from Danish childrenswear designer Helle Hogsbro and her family. Ideal for escaping the busy city life...

Photographer: Debi Treloar

Debi Treloar's photographs always have a minimalist feel without being too cold. They almost feel like their part of a modern fairytale, I wouldn't mind waiting for my prince in one of these interiors.

Design Hotel: Aire de Bardenas

Since it's holiday season, I decided to share some of my favourite design hotels with you.

First up is Aire de Bardenas in Spain. This hotel is very suitable for a relaxing getaway. The abstract desertlike landscape is reflected in the minimalistic prefab building and interior design. An ideal place to forget all worries here and become one with yourself...

My type of interior

As a graphic designer, there's nothing I like more than a bit of typography around the house.

Etsy Favs: Rob Ryan

Let me start off this post by saying that I absolutely worship Rob Ryan and the ground he walks on. To me he's one of the most talented illustrators out there at the moment. I mean if you get to work for Vogue, you must be doing something right...

Rob has his own little shop in London but lucky for us non UK residents, he also sells his work through Etsy.

His screenprints are a bit pricey but luckily his tiles are a bit more affordable.

I love the simplicity of the photography of London based Rachel Whiting. Her photographs seem to have a really calming effect on me...

Rooms with a view – Part 1

Some people have all the luck in the world. Not only do they have a wonderful designed home but also a view to die for...

Twinkle twinkle

One thing I love about summer are the long nights you can sit outside relaxing with a bottle of rose and your best friends at your side.

It's even more fun with some atmospheric garden lightning. Here are some of my favourites:

• LED lights

Apartment Theraphy

• Corona Solar lights

Corona

• Field of optical fibers
