Etsy Favs: Rob Ryan

Let me start off this post by saying that I absolutely worship Rob Ryan and the ground he walks on. To me he's one of the most talented illustrators out there at the moment. I mean if you get to work for Vogue, you must be doing something right...

Rob has his own little shop in London but lucky for us non UK residents, he also sells his work through Etsy.

His screenprints are a bit pricey but luckily his tiles are a bit more affordable.

Etsy Favs: Rabbitsmoon

It seems that my mother instinct is lurking, lately I seem to be more and more drawn to children's toys.

That's why I bookmarked Rabbitsmoon's shop. She sells lovely colourful handcrafted toys from her Brooklyn based studio. All items are one of a kind, so your toddler doesn't have to face embarrassment by showing up at the playground with the same cuddle as his friends.

Even if your life is still childfree, this Etsy store is worth a visit, there are some lovely pincushions for sale too.

Etsy favs: Eclectic Eccentricity

I'm a big fan of vintage inspired jewelery so now wonder Eclectic Eccentricity is on Favorite Sellers list. Her work is beautiful and at the same time has that little humorous spark that differentiates it.

Etsy Favs: Inaluxe

Recently I was going through my favourite sellers list on Etsy, thinking what great talent this site harbors. And at the same time I thought that it wasn't fair to keep this wonderful list all to myself. That's why, in this new series, I'll introduce you to some of my favourite Etsy sellers.

First up: Inaluxe.

When I first added this seller, it was for her lovely dresses, great was my surprise when her shop was all of a sudden stocked with gorgeous art. A woman of many talents...

Check out her Etsy shop!

Wishlist: Etsy art

The one place where you can buy affordable art (prints) is off course Etsy. There are so many great artists on there that it's hard to make a holiday selection, but I did my best!

So without further ado, here's my selection.

Number Numbers by Pearl & Marmelade – $18
Nothing like a bit of letterpress to get my blood running. This limited edition print is so cute that you just can't resist...

Charlie Bird by Matte Stephens – $35
I really should just buy this print as a gift for myself, it's been on my wishlist for way too long.

California by Dutch Door Press – $15
Letterpress and vintage inspired illustrations, it doesn't get any better than this!

Thistle by Yellena – $20
I love the unique intricate pattern on this print.

Wishlist: Necklaces

Nothing like a bit of jewelery for under the Christmas tree! I only wear two types of jewelery: earrings and necklaces. Since I love making earrings myself, that leaves necklaces to wish for!

Here are my favourites from Etsy.

Ball and Chain by Chainchainchained – $32
A necklace that is both robust and delicate. Soothes my every mood...

Golden Lilypads by Luxedeluxe – $29
Adrienne from Luxedeluxe always makes the most beautiful jewelery.

Waterlily by Trystbykerry – $ 30
Say it with flowers. Love the double strand...

Let's get organized!

With the new year just around the corner, it's time for a new calendar. You don't want to forget your mothers birthday don't you? I did this once, not recommended...

Here's my favourite calendar selection from Etsy:

• Birds in a Tree Calendar by Yeehaw

• Dandelion Calendar by Hello Handmade

• Folky Wall Calendar by Dutchdoor

• 2009 Calendar by Orange Beautiful

Wishlist: ceramics

I love making lists, so the holiday season is just my cup of tea!

I thougt I share my personal wishlist with you but since it is starting to get a bit massive, I divided it up into sections. (Organising is another love of me).

And this post we start off with my all time favourite: ceramics

Birds love teapot and bowls by Ninainvorm – $42 (teapot)
Nina decorates vintage ceramics with funky illustrations. A perfect mix of old and new!

Take out by Lorena Abarrezueta – $65
Making the disposable eternal. Ceramics with a smile.

Sugar and creamer set from Cursive Design – $ 34
Beautiful handpainting on this, it's like a little piece of art.

Etsy art

A while back I was looking at posters to hang in our new dream home, which we hopefully will find soon. Read all about it here.

But after seeing the next pictures, I wondered if it wouldn’t be nicer to have a lot of different prints together, instead of just one big poster.

So I headed down to Etsy and already made a start on my ‘art’ collection.

I heart Matte

I've been a huge fan of Matte Stephens illustrations prints ever since I first set eyes on his Etsy shop.

Being a vintage freak myself, I absolutely love the retro vibe he has in his work.

But apparently not only in his work! After looking around on his blog I found some pictures of his house. The interior is really lovely, it's as inspirational as his work!
