While flicking through TV channels this weekend, I came across a drama series on BBC. I can't recall the title – it was about some kidnapping scheme that went wrong – but was immediately transfixed with the set location. It took place in a modern house made up intirely of concrete and glass, no real surprises so far, but it was set next to an old cemetery!
At first I thought the graves might be added by the television makers to add some suspense but after some googling I found out that this building indeed borders a rather eery location. The house, designed by
Eldrige Smerin Architects, is located in Swains Lane London on the edge of an historic Victorian cemetery.
